María del Carmen García Ríos

Professor María del Carmen García Ríos has a degree in Physiotherapy and a degree in Documentation from the University of Granada.

University Expert in Social Gerontology and Doctor within the program of "Scientific Information: Treatment, Access and Evaluation" in 2009 by the University of Granada.

She is a University Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Granada, where she carries out her teaching and research work. Member of the Research Group CTS-526 "Physiotherapy and Primary Care" since its creation, a group endorsed by the Junta de Andalucía. She has participated in 6 state and regional research projects, being the author of more than 30 scientific publications mainly in the fields of stress, fibromyalgia and vascular physiotherapy. She has made numerous contributions to national and international conferences in the form of presentations and communications.

In the field of university management, she has been secretary of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Director of the Secretariat of Centers and Departments of the Vice-rectorate for Academic Planning and Teaching Staff, secretary of the Department of Physiotherapy at the University of Granada. Vice President of the National Conference of Physiotherapy Deans for 3 years. She is currently the Director of the Department of Physiotherapy at the University of Granada and Vice President of the Higher Education Group of the Spanish Association of Physiotherapists.
