Doctor Elena Bueno Gracia (PT, PhD, MAppSc) has a degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Zaragoza (2004).
Master in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (K-E concept). Master in Social Gerontology from the same university. Graduated in Social and Cultural Anthropology in 2008 from the UNED. Doctor from the University of Zaragoza in 2013 with the thesis entitled "Study on the validity of neurodynamic tests of the median nerve in the diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome".
Clinical physiotherapist since 2004, in the area of traumatology, orthopedics and sports. Contracted Professor at the University of Zaragoza and member of the PhysiUZerapy Physiotherapy research group. International Instructor in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (Kaltenborn-Evjenth concept) since 2006 and International Instructor in Clinical Neurodynamics since 2008, teaching in different countries in South America and Europe.
Her interest in the area of research lies in the study and understanding of the biomechanics and physiology of the peripheral nervous system and its involvement in the evaluation and treatment of peripheral neuropathies. Her most recent research is related to structural differentiation and the effect of neural mobilization techniques on cadavers. Recently, she has participated in the design of a splint for the treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome that is patent pending.
