Berta Paz Lourido

Full Professor Berta Paz has a diploma from the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) in the area of ​​Physiotherapy, Department of Nursing and Physiotherapy.

Doctor from the University of the Balearic Islands, with European mention. Diploma in physiotherapy, degree in pedagogy, degree in audiovisual communication. Postgraduate title of University Expert in Articular Manipulative Physiotherapy. Postgraduate degree of University Specialist in Development Cooperation. Master in Bioethics and Humanization of Assistance. She has led and participated in national and international research projects, as well as projects to improve teaching, development cooperation and internationalization. It collaborates with agencies and entities related to the quality, evaluation and accreditation of higher education in physiotherapy. In the field of educational innovation, she is the vice-president of the University Service-Learning Association, deputy director of the European Observatory of Service-Learning in Higher Education. She is the person in charge of the ApSUIB program and the coordinator of the ApS Illes Balears promoter centre.

She is the researcher in charge of the ECYCS (Education, Communication and Quality in Health) research group and the Balearic Islands Public Health History Research Group (IUNICS), and collaborates with other research groups in the field of education and health. It belongs to the Hospital Pedagogy Laboratory of the UIB.

She has been deputy director of the School of Nursing and Physiotherapy, director of the Own Title of Specialist in Physiotherapy in Primary and Community Care and director of the Official Master's Degree in Health Research and Quality of Life and deputy director of the Center for Postgraduate Studies.
